Can I order books from the Student Store if I’m outside the United States?

Sorry, but we can only ship books within the U.S. Norton books are available at bookstores worldwide.

I’m having problems placing on online order.

Call our order department at (800) 233-4830, extension 1. We will be glad to help you complete your order.

How will my order be shipped?

Orders to street addresses are shipped UPS ground; orders to PO Boxes are shipped via USPS. Most orders will arrive within 10 working days.

If you have questions or concerns about an order, please contact our credit card department at (800) 233-4830, either extension 231 or 245.

How do I cancel an order?

Contact our credit card department at (800) 233-4830, extension 314 or 245. If an order has not yet shipped, we can cancel it with no charge to you. If an order has already shipped, you will need to return it to us for a full refund of the purchase price. We cannot refund the cost of shipping.

Can I place an order by phone or fax?

Yes. Call (800) 233-4830 extension 314 to place an order over the phone. Our order fax number is (800) 458-6515.

Do you collect sales tax?

Norton must collect sales tax in the following states: CA, IL, MI, NY, PA, TX, VT, and WA. If you are shipping an order to one of these states, sales tax will be added to the purchase price.

What are “packages”?

A package is a combination of titles that, when ordered together, is available at a significant discount over the individual prices. Packages offer you the best value for your money. (For example, you may be able to purchase a textbook and study guide for less than if you bought these items separately.) Available packages are listed on the ordering pages for each book; if no package is listed, then we do not currently offer any package options for that book. To order a package, simply click the add-to-cart link   next to the package and the entire package will be added to your cart. (Note that you must use the add-to-cart link   next to the package to receive the discount; if you add the components of the package to your cart as individual items, you will not receive the discount.)

What if a package includes access to an ebook or StudySpace? What will I receive?

If a package includes an ebook or StudySpace, you will receive a folder with a registration code and instructions for accessing these sites. Note that these folders are sealed and may not be returned once the seal is broken.

Can I get immediate access to an ebook or StudySpace?

Yes. If you click the link to purchase an individual ebook or StudySpace, you will be taken to a separate ordering system that will deliver a registration code for these sites immediately after purchase. These sales are final and nonrefundable.

My instructor assigned a Norton book for my class, but I can’t find it in the Store.

The Norton Student Store does not include all Norton titles in print. Norton books are also available at bookstores worldwide.

The book I need is listed as of stock. Can I still order it?

Yes, you can order a title that is listed as out of stock, and we will ship it to you as soon as it becomes available.

The book I need is listed as out of print. Can I still order it?

No, out-of-print titles are no longer available from Norton.

How do I return a book?

Send the book back to us within 30 days of receipt and we will refund the purchase price. Books must be in saleable condition. We cannot refund the cost of shipping. All returns should be shipped to:
