Current professors or professors emeriti at Queens College of the City University of New York, Sol Berkowitz, Gabriel Fontrier, and Leo Kraft are composers, theorists, and pedagogues, whose compositions have been published, performed, and recorded in the United States and throughout the Western world. Leo Kraft’s A New Approach to Ear Training and Gradus and his co-authored text A New Approach to Keyboard Harmony are all published by Norton.
